Iroquois County CUSD #9 is excited to once again offer a variety of summer camps. These camps are available to students in or outside of our school district.
We will continue to update the website as camp information becomes available.
June 26 – June 28 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am
@ Watseka Community High School
$20.00 per Camper (includes a basketball)
The camp will stress the development of basketball fundamentals: ball handling,
catching, passing, and shooting. The camp is coached by the HS Boys’ Basketball staff
and current HS Boys Basketball players.

The camp will stress the development of basketball fundamentals, strategies,teamwork,
and sportsmanship. Individual and team contests will be held daily. Awards will be
given to contest winners. The camp is coached by the HS Boys’ Basketball staff and
current HS Boys Basketball players.

This camp, run by Coach Chad Cluver and his staff, and assisted by members of the HS ball team, focuses on acquisition and refinement of individual skills, offensive and defensive concepts, and team concepts specific to the Warrior system of basketball.

Fresh/JV: 4 - 5:30pm (except: June 8,15,22 = 4:30 -6; June 19,29 5-7)
Varsity: 5:30 - 7pm (except: 19,21,29 = 5 - 7pm)

*This is a specific team camp for all boys planning on going out for basketball at Watseka HS.
If you are planning on trying out for the team next season, it will be important that you try to attend. Basic fundamentals, offensive concepts, defensive concepts, as well as what will be expected of our high school players will be covered. The main focus is making each person a better basketball player! If you cannot attend, but still plan on going out for next year’s team, please see Coach Cluver for a summer calendar. Cost for the camp is $40, unless you help with the 2 nd – 5 th grade camp or the 6 th – 8 th grade camp. Then, your fee is waived. Please see Coach Cluver if you would like to help out with camp. Coach Cluver will start with the seniors and work his way down to fill camp coaches.

The volleyball camp is designed to help the young athletes develop the necessary fundamentals of volleyball, teamwork, and to have FUN! The camp will be coached by WCHS Coaching staff and current WCHS volleyball players. Camp is for girls entering grades 1-8 in the FALL 2023. Campers are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.

LOCATION: Watseka Community High School Practice Fields (WCHS Basketball Court in event of rain)
WHO: ALL incoming 3RD graders – incoming 8TH graders
PROGRAM PRICE: $30/PLAYER
*T-Shirt *30-minute practice time before each game *2 – 40-minute games each week (20-minute halves)
Purpose: Give our young athletes the ability to have fun playing 7-on-7 flag football with guidance from our high school football players and staff!
Equipment: Please be sure that your athletes wear closed toe shoes (tennis shoes in the event of rain) for their protection when playing and practicing. Athletes should also bring their own water bottles.

Warrior Tennis Camp is designed to help athletes develop the necessary fundamentals of tennis with skill development, scoring, rules and etiquette, and of course to have fun! No experience necessary - we will teach you! The camp will be coached by WCHS Coaching staff and current WCHS tennis players. Camp is for anyone entering grades 6-8 in the FALL. Campers should bring a large water bottle and tennis racket. Any rain outs are the next day following camp.
June 12-16, 19-23, 26-30, July 6, 7 & 10-14 7:30 - 10:30 at the WCHS Tennis Courts $40/camper - includes a t-shirt
This is a specific team camp for those trying out for the tennis team at WCHS in the fall. It will be
important that you try to attend and additional open court days / rain days may be added.
Warrior Tennis Camp is designed to help student athletes develop the necessary fundamentals of tennis with skill development, scoring, rules and etiquette, strategies, teamwork, sportsmanship, and of course to have fun! No experience necessary - we will teach you! The camp will be coached by WCHS Coaching staff. Cost for the camp is $40 but the fee is waived if you have been on the team for at least one season AND help out with the 6th-8th grade camp June 26-28.
T-shirts are included in the cost of camp. If your fee is waived and you would like a t-shirt, the cost is $15. Campers should bring a large water bottle and tennis racket.
