Is My Child Eligible for SUN Bucks?

Your child is eligible for SUN Bucks if:

  • Your household already participates in SNAP, FDPIR, TANF, etc. OR

  • Your child attends a school that offers the National School Lunch or School Breakfast Program, and your household income meets the requirements for free or reduced-price school meals.

  • Visit your PowerSchool Parent Portal, Click Forms, and view the SUN Bucks Eligibility Form to see if your child is listed as meeting the requirements.

**This program is not funded by Unit 9. We relay the eligibility information through SIS and the government agency will determine final eligibility.

View your eligibility status in PowerSchool. Follow the steps below:

Step 1

Log into your PowerSchool App and click the 3 dots or More in the lower corner. Select FORMS

Step 2

Scroll to the very bottom and click LUNCH STATUS/SUN PROGRAM

Step 3

Lunch Status is reported to the State and is used to identify eligibility for the SUN Bucks Program. Pay attention to what each letter means.

Step 4

If you are marked as P or have nothing in the lunch status box and would like to apply for the SUN Bucks program, please navigate back to the FORMS page and fill out the Household Income Verification Form.
