Unit 9 NHS students had the privilege of serving breakfast to 44 Veterans at our Veterans Honor Breakfast on Friday. Following breakfast, Unit 9 students, staff and community members honored Veterans at our Veterans Day Honor Program. During the honor program the American Legion Presented the Colors and we recognized our Service Veterans. Earl Kroll helped us honor our Veterans with his amazing voice. Our talented WJHS/WCHS band played the National Anthem and Armed Forces Medley and our Unit 9 students sang God Bless America. Thank you to Mr. Kofoot for helping us in honoring Veterans by providing knowledge on the meaning of Veterans Day and the folding of the service flag, how taps came to be and inviting our guest speaker, Mr. Aaron Uphoff. We ended our Veterans Program with the Color Guard 21-Gun Salute.
