The City of Watseka (Watseka) contracted with Iroquois Paving Company (IPC) to complete a roadway project this year. Attached is a map of Watseka with highlights to the streets being improved. The improvements are as follows:
Purple – these streets are having sections of curb and gutter replaced along with some pavement patching. The roadway will be milled and a new layer of asphalt will be installed. Depending on the activity, traffic will be moderately impacted (concrete trucks, asphalt trucks, dump trucks, milling machine, etc.)
Green – these streets are receiving only patching. Impacts to traffic should be minimal (small machines, asphalt trucks, dump trucks).
Orange – these streets are having the curb and gutter replaced entirely. The roadway will be milled and a new layer of asphalt will be installed. Depending on the activity, traffic will be moderately impacted (concrete trucks, asphalt trucks, dump trucks, milling machine, etc.)
IPC plans to begin the concrete work for the streets in Green and Orange, starting with Division Street and Herron Court, next week.
Fortunately, this will not affect any of the bus stops. However, you may need to plan a different way of getting to the bus stop from your house.

Public Notice:
Chemicals will be applied at Wanda Kendall and Glenn Raymond to kill weeds/grass on Sunday morning, September 4, 2022.
