Governor Pritzker has extended our school closure until April 7th. The earliest opening date will be April 8th. More information will be shared in the near future.

KC-CASA and ISAS is helping to provide resources for parents and students during the school shutdown.

There have been questions whether we are coming back to school this year. That decision has NOT been made by our government officials. As of this minute, school is scheduled to resume March 31. If and when a different directive is made, we will communicate that to our families.

The Building project presentation scheduled for March 17 has been postponed. It is now scheduled for March 31 at 6:00PM at the High School cafeteria.

Message from the Superintendent



March 16: 2-hour delay for K-12, dismiss at normal time. Pre-K runs at normal times. KACC closed.
March 17-20: E-Learning days
March 23-27: Spring Break. No school or E-Learning. Enjoy the time off with your families!
March 30: E-Learning day
March 31: School resumes

The WCHS spring play, An Act Of Piracy, will be presented March 20 & 21 at 7pm at the Watseka Theater. Tickets are on sale now at WCHS main office during regular school hours for $10. Tickets at the door will be $12. Cash or checks made payable to WCHS drama will be accepted.

Our next Ute Council meeting will be March 18th at 5:15pm. Enter the office doors. 8th grade parents are needed to plan the 8th grade dance. Have a great evening.

On April 14th, WCHS will be holding all State Testing (PSAT 9, 10 and SAT) starting at 8:15 am. Please be sure to bring your calculator since all students (9, 10 & 11th graders) will be testing on the same day.
