
The WCHS Fine Arts Student of the Month for November/December is Ellie Rabe! Ellie takes her time and puts her best effort into every project she creates. Her thoughtful approach and exceptional work does not go unnoticed. Congrats to Ellie!


The WCHS Math Student of the Month for November/December is Haden Arellano! Haden Arellano has a great attitude and always comes to class ready to start with the activity. He has come a long way in Math has made great strides. He is always willing to help his peers and maintains a positive attitude regardless if he is struggling with the concepts. Way to go, Haden!

The WCHS English Student of the Month for November/December is Emily Payne! Emily is a gifted writer with great insights and class contributions. Way to go, Emily!


The WCHS History/Geography Student of the Month for November/December is Jade Maples! Jade does exceptional history work on all of the skills and does so with humility, patience, and perseverance. Jade is a talented student and valued classmate. Congrats to Jade!


WCHS is proud to announce our November/December Students of the Month! First up is Sophia Kochvar! Sophia is the Science Student of the Month. Sophia is doing an excellent job in Physics this year. She is really working hard to understand how things work and why. Her research projects have been excellent and Mrs. Fatka can always count on Sophia to ask good questions about her classmates’ projects. Great job, Sophia!


Congratulations to London Starkey for winning the IKAN Red Ribbon Week coloring contest. She won a coloring book and certificate. Awesome job London!!

WCHS, WJHS, and GRS will have a lockdown drill next week. Please read the linked letter from Dr. Andriano. This drill is only for grades 1-12. Wanda Kendall will have a drill later this winter and parents will be notified before the drill.

The WCHS Music Department would like to invite you to the annual Christmas Concert featuring the WCHS Concert Band, WCHS Jazz Band and WCHS Concert Choir. The concert will be held on Thursday, December 5 at the Watseka Theater beginning at 7:00 pm.
