Our GRS students & staff would love to see everyone from the community line the streets and sidewalks along our parade route, as we show off our costumes.

🎨 Congratulations, Brooklyn Gioja! 🎨
At the end of the 2024–2025 school year, Brooklyn’s artwork was selected to be part of the Illinois Art Education Association’s (IAEA) 2025–2026 Statewide Student Art Show!
Yesterday, Brooklyn was honored—along with 44 other talented students from across Illinois—at the IAEA Student Art Show Award Ceremony held at the Renaissance Convention Center in Schaumburg.
WCHS art teacher, Robyn Butler, proudly accepted the award on Brooklyn’s behalf. Brooklyn’s piece will now travel throughout the state for the next nine months as part of this prestigious exhibition.
👏🏻 Way to go, Brooklyn! Your creativity is representing WCHS across Illinois!

Red Ribbon Week is October 27-31! These are the dress-up days for the district. Dress up to show that you are drug and bully free!

We are so thankful for our amazing Unit 9 principals, Wanda - Mr. Findlay, GRS - Ms. Sterrenberg, WJHS - Mr. Rigsby and WCHS Mr. Nevills, whose leadership, kindness and dedication make our Unit 9 Schools a wonderful place to learn and grow.
From cheering on our students to supporting our teachers, they lead with heart, humor, and a whole lot of pride in our school! 💙🍎
