The Watseka Warrior Mathletes competed at the 48th Annual Parkland-ICTM Regional Math Competition this past weekend at Parkland College in Champaign, IL. The Warrior Mathletes came home with some amazing hardware! Our 2 Person Junior/Senior Team tied for 2nd Place consisting of Maya Machev and Skyla Buwalda. In addition, Maya and Skyla tied for 2nd Place in the Junior/Senior 8 Person Team! The Warrior Mathletes are coached by Nick Harvey.

Congratulations to Mrs. Carlson for winning the Empowering Education Grant through Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative! The grant funds will be used to add an additional 8 crossbar supports and swings to Wanda Kendall playground so our Kindergarten students do not have to wait for so long to swing!

BESD-53 has approved Watseka parents/guardians/families to sign up and use the E-quip (E-Therapy) platform for free. Although it says on the site that it is for Kankakee families- we can use it too. Through short video clips, interactive tools, and downloadable resources, eQUIP provides families with mental health strategies that can be immediately used at home.
